The design brief was to propose a cruise terminal that increases the growing tourism industry, creating a destination experience set apart from other venues and facilities seen in the region and the world.

Eastern waterfront plays a vital role in shaping Mumbai for what it is today. The intent here was to uplift the already significant waterfront, through architecture in a way that it leaves a mark in the history of design for present as well as for the future developments.

The design involved various activities and utilities to improve the present condition of the terminal and to use the port to its optimum potential.
